Where the fun will be done
- Your “Homebase” is relaxing under the shade in the lounge. Your duties will take you on the truck service loop, to the Sideboob for a MOOP check, around the power grid, pretty much all over camp as needed.
When the shift is
- Note: Due to the depth of knowledge required about both Camp and BRC, these roles can only be filled by experienced and extremely reliable Ashramers.
- You work a single 4.5 hour shift from 8:30am to 1pm. There is no coverage or fallback. If you do not show up for your shift or are too inebriated to effectively work your shift, you will put the entire camp in a very bad position. Please be incredibly reliable for your shift.
Highlights of what’s involved
Your core responsibilities are:
- Escort the Fresh Water and Grey Water trucks around our camp to ensure service. You will use the camp iPad to photograph the service as it happens as well as to log it onto a sheet attached to the serviced item.
- You will walk the power grid distro panels to ensure that only tagged plugs are connected to the outlets.
- You will use the camp ipad to collect payment from Campers for additional Fresh Water/Grey RV vouchers.
- You will MOOP check the sideboob campers. You are NOT cleaning up after them, but supporting them in picking up their shit.
- You are the deputy of the Manager of the Day (MOD) supporting them in whatever comes up so they can be available in a known location to campers in need.
- You are the backup “how does camp work? How does Burning Man work?” type questions for the MOD. As such, you feel confident in your working knowledge of both.
